Drumlin Literary Tour
Follow the trail of one of Ireland’s foremost literary figures Patrick Kavanagh to the stoney grey soil of County Monaghan.
Visiting ‘Pleasant Island’, Inniskeen, a 6th Century Monastic Settlement, founded by St. Daig. Here we visit the Kavanagh Centre, and the grave of the poet in the nearby cemetery. You will be taken on a tour of Kavanagh Country, so often written about in his poems.
Afterwards, we travel to Carrickmacross to view the beautiful Carrickmacross Lace.
